Oregon Battle of the Books! All of these titles are in our classroom available for checking out!

In Language Arts this week, our class is turning in their monochromatic portraits (see mine above!) and poems. Students will also be taking the MAPS reading comprehension test on Tuesday through Thursday. Students will also start selecting books for the Reading Log #1, which is due on Friday, September 20. Although there will be some reading in class, reading at home on an average of 20-30 minutes a night minimum is required.

In Social Studies, we will be studying the components of culture, then begin our study of ancient civilizations with Sumer. Students will work on different Sumer stations in class, then turn in their Sumer Station Packets (yellow packet) on Friday, September 13.
