HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE! 🙂 The above photo is located in Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia, which is on the western side of South America. This area is considered the largest natural mirror in the world! From December to March (the rainy season), the salt flats are flooded with rain and create a mirror-like reflection of the sky.

Language Arts: We are starting three new things: 1) Practice for the winter MAPS test, 2) Reading three articles to prepare for our argumentative essay on how to make change in the community! The analysis of the three articles is due Friday, January 10. 3) READING LOG #3 starts January 6—it is DUE TUESDAY, JANUARY 21!

Social Studies: We are starting the Ancient India unit! Students will be learning the Geography of India (due Wednesday, January 8). Then students will learn more about the ancient India culture by examining the Mohenjadaro Artifacts (due Friday, January 10).
