Language Arts: This week, students are turning in their story rough drafts on Wednesday, October 2 (typed and submitted on Canvas). We will also start revising their stories on their own and with partners.

Students are writing a short story to be published in a book (all three classes included). Each student will receive a copy of the book! The above photo shows the previous books starting from 2018. Also, there is an art contest for art to be included on the covers and inside the book!

Social Studies: Students will be working in class this week on their individual summative projects for Sumer and Mesopotamia, which are due on Friday, October 4. This project is in class, with materials provided.

Above is a sample of a Sumer and Mesopotamia project from last school year. Keep in mind, students are not labeling the four empires this year.
